Listening

“Draw me like one of your French girls,” says the cameraman, adjusting his awkward stance on an East London kitchen counter. He is the main — and the only — creative force behind the camera.
Dotted socks in the air.

A boom pole echoes that stance, its microphone testing the air around the heroine.

With her calm posture, the soft glow of her hair, and the blue and red accents surrounding her, she reminds me of Renaissance Madonnas.

Are the crew members angels bringing a message to humankind? Are they kneeling donors in a votive position?
